²³ In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king of Israel. He ruled in Samaria for two years.

Azariah (Az-ar-eye-a): he that hears the Lord
Menahem (Men-a-hem): comforter; who conducts them; preparation of heat
Pekahiah (Pek-a-yah): it is the Lord that opens
Samaria (Sa-meh-ree-a): watch-mountain
