¹⁴ and said unto him, Dost thou know that Baalis the king of the children of Ammon hath sent Ishmael the son of Nethaniah to take thy life? But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not.

Definition(s):
Ahikam (A-high-kam): a brother who raises up or avenges
Ammon (Amon): a people; the son of my people
Baalis (Ba-al-iss): a rejoicing; a proud lord
Gedaliah (Gedd-a-lie-a): God is my greatness
Ishmael (Ish-mehl): God that hears
Ishmael (Ish-ma-el): God that hears
Nethaniah (Neth-an-eye-a): the gift of the Lord
