7 And Balaam took up his discourse, and said, "From Aram Balak has brought me, the king of Moab from the eastern mountains: 'Come, curse Jacob for me, and come, denounce Israel!'

Aram (Ar-am): highness, magnificence, one that deceives; curse
Balaam (Beh-lamm): the ancient of the people; the destruction of the
Balak (Behlak): who lays waste or destroys
Jacob (Jeh-kobb): that supplants, undermines; the heel
Moab (Moh-ab): of his father
