Tenacity

Tenacity or unending perseverance is essential in the make-up of a powerful man or women of God. Obstacles and difficulties abound in the task of impacting the world for Christ. Someone without a tenacious spirit will simply be beaten by Satan's constant opposition. In fact, in most facets of life, perseverance is a crucial ingredient for success. Thomas Edison had 1000 failed attempts before finally making a workable light bulb. Marcel Bic took 7 years to develop the disposable bic pen. Now 3 billion pens are sold each year! Nigel Mansell lost 95 Grand Prix races before winning his first - now he is World Champion.

There is a Chinese proverb : "The man who moved the mountain began by carrying away small stones." Neither talent, nor genius, nor education can take the place of tenacity.

  -Would Paul be proud of your perseverance or disappointed at how
  easily you complain or quit?
• 1Tim 4:16 Perseverance in following the truth is required for our salvation.
  It is therefore an ESSENTIAL quality !
• Heb 10:35-39 There is a RICH REWARD for those who persevere in doing God's will.
  -If we shrink back from our calling - we will be destroyed.
  -Are you tenacious about : getting to know your bible;
  being consistently fruitful;
  changing sinful character habits;
  developing close relationships in the church.
• Heb 12:1-3 We are commanded to run the race marked out for us with
  perseverance.
• James 1:12 We are blessed IF we persevere.
• Luke 8:11-15 Of the four different hearts the noble and good heart perseveres.
• Mark 7:24-30 A women's tenacity and humility actually changes Jesus' mind and he grants her request.

Practical Challenges:

• Decide to have a "never-say-die" tenacious character.
• NEVER quit on noble tasks when they become difficult.
• Set some goals for the next 6 months and steadfastly pursue them until they are achieved.
• Decide to never fall away from God NO MATTER WHAT !!
