³ By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,

Elasah (Ell-a-sa): the doings of God
Gemariah (Ge-mar-eye-a): accomplishment or perfection of the Lord
Judah (Joo-da): the praise of the Lord; confession
Nebuchadnezzar (Neb-ukh-ad-nezz-ar): Nebuchadrezzar, tears and groans of judgment
